Privacy Policy — Perron
Last updated: February 17, 2026
Overview
Perron is a Wear OS watch complication that displays upcoming public transport departures for your nearest station. Your privacy is important — the app is designed to collect the minimum data necessary to function.
Data We Collect
Location Data
Perron uses your device's location (GPS and network-based) to determine the closest public transport station. Location data is:
- Processed entirely on your device
- Cached locally for up to 5 minutes to reduce battery usage
- Never transmitted to any server other than as described below
- Never stored permanently
Transport Data
To fetch departure information, the app sends requests to the Swiss Public Transport API (transport.opendata.ch). These requests contain:
- Station names (derived from your location)
- Your configured route preferences
The Swiss Public Transport API is a public, open-data service operated independently. Please refer to their privacy policy for how they handle requests.
User Preferences
Your route configurations and app settings are stored locally on your watch. They are never transmitted to any external server.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- No personal information (name, email, account)
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No advertising identifiers
- No crash reporting
- No data shared with third parties
